Doula Services

No two women are the same and every birth is different. Therefore, my role as YOUR doula is greatly up to you. Weather you want someone to discuss fears with, provide you with information, hold your hand, or simply be a calm and reassuring presents, that's what I'll do.  

Basic Birth Doula Package

This package includes, but is not limited to:
  • An initial "meet and greet" meeting. This is a relaxed, no-charge meeting where we get to know each other, discuss what your looking for, and I'll answer any questions you may have.
  • Two prenatal visits. Once you have decided that your birth experience would benefit from my service, I'll meet with you to help you develop a birth plan and discuss how I can best support you in your choices. We will meet once more during your pregnancy where I will provide any requested information and we will talk about any questions or fears you may have before labor begins. I can also attend a Doctors or Midwifes appointment with you if you  would like me to.
  • On call. I will be available 24 hours a day to join you when labor begins, at your request, starting at your 38th week of pregnancy. I am also available by phone or e-mail after our first prenatal visit, have you any questions.
  • Labor, birth, and the first hours. I will be by your side, as soon as you feel you need me, once labor begins. If you are going to have a hospital birth, I can join you at home while you labor, if you wish. I will stay with you and offer support through labor and the birth of your baby. I remain with you to help with the baby's first feeding, take pictures, and to make sure that you, your partner and new baby are well taken care of. I can even go get your first meal so that you can all stay together!
  • One postpartum visit. I will follow-up with you after the birth to answer any questions you may have, help with breastfeeding, if needed, and snuggle your new baby!
  • Fees. The fee for this package is $900. Half of the fee is due at contract signing (at our first prenatal visit) and the remainder before your 38th week of pregnancy. My fees cover any work I may miss, childcare, the cost of education/books/certification, supplies, and my time and availability.

Breastfeeding

Private Classes

I offer a private Prenatal Breastfeeding Class to women and their families. This is approximately a two hour class in the comfort of your home that will educate and prepare you for a wonderful breastfeeding experience! The cost for this class is $50. Please contact me if you have any questions. I will also teach small groups with a minimum of three couples for $20/couple.

Lactation Services

As a retired IBCLC, I provide basic breastfeeding assistance to my doula clients. If you are in need of professional breastfeeding support, I can come to your home, hotel or hospital room. I charge an initial fee of $50 that covers the first hour. After that, my rate is $40 per hour (rounded to the nearest 15 minutes).
